Fibonacci Fade
Fibonacci Fade is a spring/summer/fall weight sweater, knit top-down with a bateau neck and raglan sleeve shaping, with a simple 2-color stripe repeat. The stripes are repeated according to the Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical concept that creates patterns that are very pleasing to the human eye. A little trivia – Fibonacci was one of the most famous mathematicians from the middle ages – his real name was Leonardo Bonacci and he observed naturally occurring patterns based on a multi-generational growth pattern of a population of rabbits. The Fibonacci Sequence starts at 0 and goes to 233, with each number being the sum of the 2 previous numbers. This sweater uses the Fibonacci sequence up to 21 to determine the width of each COLOR B stripe.
